Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)

I get very excited when I have to write about WISDOM! There's a lot to talk about it. But I'll keep this article short and sweet. We've heard this Bible verse in our school days at school and also at church so many times! This is 'the' famous Bible verse. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom! That means if you do not fear God, you don't have wisdom! You are a FOOL!

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7 (NIV)

Once you start fearing him, your wisdom begins to blossom. No no don't stop there! Keep seeking wisdom. As the Bible says, "Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,14 for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold." Proverbs 3:13-14 (NIV) Wisdom is one thing that Jesus gives you instantly as soon as you ask him. Here's an advice - ask him to be your personal teacher. I tell you, when the creator himself is your teacher, you will discover great hidden treasures of Wisdom!

"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." James 1:5 (NIV) Keep reading Bible constantly. Get as much knowledge as possible as it provides you with an insight! I know it's kind of boring to read and read. Well, you can do something I do!

1. Read a verse / paragraph 2. Write it on a place that's visible to you most of the time 3. While you do it, try to grasp the meaning of it, word by word! 4. Practice it in your Life for 2-3 days and it becomes a part of you! 5. Then move on to the next!

Keep repeating this steps, and find some really really interesting secrets that the Bible holds about Life. Here's how to get started. Start with BEATITUDES! Go to Matthew 5: 1-12

"Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them. The BeatitudesHe said:

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Practice each beatitude for a day or two...! And when you are done, you will see a huge difference in yourself! What are you waiting for? Grab your Bible and get started!!!! :)
